Hänel Lean-Lift®

SIM Holland is headquartered in Sliedrecht, the Netherlands, and was founded in 1933 as a technical service provider specializing in the trade sector and project support. SIM maintains a large inventory of parts for quick delivery, along with its own workshop with testing facilities, plus a service and repair department.

Maximum storage volume within a small footprint

In 2015, SIM moved to its current location, which is close to motorway A15. The new works facility covers an area of approx. 2,200 m2, with about half of this space dedicated to storage. The warehouse area includes a Hänel Lean-Lift® which is eight meters high and equipped with containers measuring 3,060 x 825 mm.

The Lean-Lift® is mainly used to store small parts for the energy, pump and agro departments. The Lean-Lift® has 80 containers – an extremely large number that provides for a storage capacity of approx. 201.96 m2 / 28.34 m3.

SIM Holland says that one benefit delivered by the Hänel Lean-Lift® is added storage space within a very small footprint. About 230 m2 of floor space were required for storage at the company’s old location. Now the Hänel Lean-Lift® in the new building only requires eight square meters of floor space while providing more than 200 m2 for storage purposes.

Another advantage, according to SIM, is the flexibility of the Hänel MP 12 N-StandAlone controller.

This and the proximity of the company to Hänel influenced the decision of SIM Holland to select the Lean-Lift® rather than a competitor system.
